Day 1: 180 grams, 3 feedings
From week 1 to 7200 grams, 3 feedings
Correct preparation method
To ensure the powder dissolves and does not clump, and to avoid digestive problems, follow these steps:
- Preheating: Heat half the required amount of water to a temperature of 55°C .
- Mixing: Add Vivalac Ultra powder to hot water and mix well until it is completely dissolved.
- Dilution: Add the remaining half of the water (at normal room temperature) to reach the desired concentration.
- Feeding: Make sure that the temperature of the final mixture when fed to the animal is between 38° and 40° Celsius (which is the mother's body temperature).
Note: The general mixing concentration mentioned in the guidelines ranges between 130-150 g/L, but it is preferable to adhere to the above dosing schedule (180-200 g) to support intensive growth in the first weeks.
Additional tips for successful breastfeeding:
- Hygiene: Feeding bottles or utensils should be washed thoroughly after each use to prevent bacterial growth.
- Regularity: Try to offer feedings at fixed times daily to avoid digestive upsets.
- Water: Make sure that clean, fresh drinking water is available for the animals alongside the milk substitute.
